Nalu Underground's 3rd annual 2 man scramble Golf Tournament and Silent Auction On October 20, 2006 Nalu Underground hosted its 3rd annual 2 man scramble Golf Tournament and Silent Auction Benefit for the Boys and Girls Club of Kauai. The golf tournament was a great success with over 100 players hitting the greens.Competing for top titles was a friendly mix of professional surfers, Quiksilver executives, Kauai locals, the Smith Brothers, and several shop pros.
As in previous years, tournament planners Curt Smith and Rick Terazzas, added some extra surprises and unique challenges to the course, including Tahitian dancers and the infamous tire swing. A very special thanks goes out to Shaun and Dana Roberts from Malie Kauai, Scott at the Kiahuna Golf Club, Joe at Joes on The Green, Jose at King Auto Center, The Boys and Girls Club of Kauai, and all the crew at Quiksilver for helping make this another killer event! After golfing everyone reconvened for some live music by Kauai’s own Kairoots, some local grinds provided by Joes on the Green, and to bid on some killer items for our third annual Silent Auction Benefit for the Boys and Girls Club of Kauai. Each year, the money raised from the silent auction goes directly into funding Nalu Underground Surf Camp for the kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Kauai. This year, Nalu Underground raised over $4,000 in less than two hours.
